Number2...your body knows more about your body than your mind does...

Wow! Week 2 it's actually here and the blog is getting posted. What a blessing to me. Last week these thoughts were sent out and no expectation was placed on response. Thank you to those who read last week. I pray that it was thought provoking, that it was worthy, and that it challenged you. It is truly motivating to me and I appreciate You taking responsibility for Your health and participating with the enthusiasm. Thank You!

As we venture into this next week we are probably a little sore, a little tired, maybe a little frustrated.  That Is Good.  You ask why? Your body and mind are responding to what you did last week.  Receive that response.  Take it in and use it as motivation. Because.... Don't forget, You Did It! No one else did it for you.  You did it and now you know that You Can.

As we look at your Why (why to get healthy, why exercise, why eat for fuel not for fun, why take responsibility for yourself physically, why get up early to workout, why think about yourself positively, and why be concerned about gaining physical confidence).  It is only fitting that we think about the obstacles that get in the way (time, money, not worthy, can't, isn't necessary, incapable, etc.).  So, receiving the gift that You did it starts to break down one obstacle, your self negative talk that says you can't.  Start to trust that your body knows more about your body than your mind does. The fact is your mind is set up to protect you from what your body CAN do.  The thing is your body CAN handle what it is capable of doing so, is your mind protecting you from your body or is it just trying to maintain control.  I think it loves be the 5 star General. But a good 5 star General gets no where without a solid supporting cast (Colonels, Lieutenants, Sergeants, foot soldiers). The body put feet to the plans the mind comes up with. They are meant to work together. As we were created to be in community our body, mind and spirit were created to work synergistically.

It is exciting to watch you push through those initial feelings and start seeing that feelings don't always dictate truth. Because the truth is that what you did last week is good for you and You did it.

Again, thanks for allowing me to be apart of this journey.  I am looking forward to what this week will bring and the new awareness you will have.
